A + M Engagement Session

…and we’re breaking all the “rules” from a normal engagement session!
We met a few months ago to talk about the wedding, how they met, how he popped the question and allllll things engagement and wedding. They’re both into motors, cars and dirt bikes. Alex actually proposed to Mandy by having Ken Roczen sign it on a poster he was “signing”. It was smooth and romantic, however Mandy caught wind of what was about to happen. It’s adorable because she totally just played along with it and was just as happy had she not known!
I've known Mandy since grade school and she's always been kinda quiet and shy. So going into this session- I knew it was going to be super laid back. They also had mentioned how much they like to just have fun and play... what better place than a playground?!
If I said that doing a session in the park was in fact, a walk in the park... I'd be a bold faced liar!
The levels, obstructions and light shining through different places can make it so difficult to get those perfect shots! Let's be real though, there's no such thing as perfect!

I wouldn't be lying when I say though, it's an absolute blast for myself and my clients. The perfect session to just let loose and have fun. At one point, I was trying to run up one of the platforms that resembled a wood stack. I'd be willing to bet, Alex and Mandy were no longer laughing with me, but more laughing at me. Which is totally cool, I'm about the humility!
After that, we went for a little stroll away from the park to relax more and get some of those sweet shots! We laughed a bunch and I watched the way Alex and Mandy interact which may sound creepy but it is one of my favorite things with couples because each one is different and unique!! Also, we're pretty sure the heat wave dissipated just for our session that weekend.
At the very end, I surprised them with water guns I purchased the day after we met for coffee. Oh yeah!!

I filled Mandy's up with a little extra water but I don't think that was a factor in her winning the fight. But then again, it might have been, haha. We had a blast running around and although I was not in the fight, I did get a couple sprays.

I am enthralled to be apart of their big day come November! I know it'll be a splash... see what I did there?
