Self Love Retreat

Every time women gather for the greater-good, our world is changed a little bit.

Kristen has aquired the most amazing oil ritual which I talked about in a previous blog post (Divine Dive goes to Joshua Tree). It really helps set you in and get clear on your intentions and how you want to move forward with them. I have done this a few times and feel amazing every single time. It’s something you won’t get your hands just anywhere. Kristen facilitates the most amazing space to do so.
The next day, like most second days in the retreat life, you are more free to move about and do what you feel called to. It always starts with a morning meditation and this time, there was a painting activity you could be apart of if called to. While that happened inside, Robin, a staple to this movement, is outside giving remarkable reiki sessions. My favorite part, is seeing the women’s faces when they come off of the table. Completely blissed out.
This year we aquired a mermaid with some real taste. So of course, we made her our retreat chef. Alicia brings savory taste to our plates every day we are on retreat and she does it with such style. Always being on top of people’s eating guidelines. Making sure all needs are met. Her food is both nutrious and delightful.
The forementioned art I spoke about. Guided by our very own artist, Samantha. Even if you’re not sure what to draw, or write, she is there to guide you based on what or how you're feeling that weekend. Whatever you’d like to interpret. These mandala canvas’ have become almost tradition for Meramid Loft retreats. Everyone gets a little piece of the project where they can be expressive. Each time it turns out a masterpiece.
Once it gets later, we take a little hike to the top. Where you can finally catch your breath watching the sunset and look over all of De Luz, California. Which, if I’m being honest, is one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever laid eyes on. So quiet and quaint. The homes are that out of a magazine. I watch these women take in deep, grateful breaths to be right where they are, together. Thankful that our paths have crossed and led us all to be together. How lucky am I to be apart of and capture all of this? Join us on the next retreat!
